The holiday spirit was in full swing at the Sharonville Convention Center as we hosted the 30th anniversary of the beloved ToyfulJoyful event. Thanks to the unwavering support of our friends and partners, this year’s celebration was nothing short of extraordinary.
The event welcomed 540 children from three Cincinnati Public Schools—Rothenberg Academy, Frederick Douglass Elementary and Riverview East Academy. These at-risk students were treated to a heartwarming holiday experience that included a festive lunch in our elegant ballroom, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus and live emceeing by sports legends George Foreman and David Fulcher. Peppermint Patti Collins added her unique touch, and every child went home with a special wrapped gift to make their holiday brighter.
This event is so much more than a toy giveaway. For many children, spending time in a “fancy” venue and enjoying a delicious meal leaves a lasting impression of joy, care and community. We are proud to play a role in creating this impactful experience for the children and their families.
The celebration garnered media attention, with coverage on Channel 9 and a spotlight on the Cincinnati
Public Schools Facebook page. As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to continuing this wonderful tradition of holiday cheer and community support. Thank you to everyone who helped make Toyful Joyful’s 30th year a memorable success!
