With the Hyatt Place hotel scheduled to open in April of 2017, we want to make sure our staffing and customer service capabilities are in alignment with the volume of events at Sharonville Convention Center. In light of that, we are excited to announce the addition of two new staff positions.
Our new Event Service Assistant will function as a welcome center receptionist for events that occur after 5 o’clock in the evenings and during weekend days. This new position will allow us to greet guests, give directions, and offer support during event functions during these hours. The Convention Center has also added an additional Housekeeper and Set Up Assistant since the volume of events and attendance has increased. Over the past year, we found ourselves reaching out to contractors to cover this extra work, and decided to add a full permanent position in order to offer a better breadth of functionality in both event set-up and housekeeping support. Our ultimate goal is to grow the size of our organization to offer better service to both customers and attendees.
In addition to our investment in more manpower and growth, we’re also focused on investing in current employees to make them better equipped to welcome guests and handle events. That’s why in 2017 we’ve invested in a quarterly training for our employees and staff in the form of seminars, talks, and discussions. These talks will focus on how to deliver exceptional customer service, how to build a more successful team, deal with difficult situations, and develop emotional intelligence.
As our last piece of exciting new additions, we’d like you to look for our latest facility update—brand new concierge kiosk, a 65” touchscreen, at our front door that will guide guests around Sharonville. The concierge service will navigate guests at the simple touch of a finger to quality destinations in our community such as restaurants, hotels, and shopping.
