Ohio Anime Expo debut on Saturday, July 21, 2018!

If you love the Cincinnati Comic Expo, you’re going to love this one-day event at the Sharonville Convention Center! Anywhere from 500-1000 people are expected to come together to celebrate anime, cosplay and modern Japanese culture. You will be able to meet voice actors from your favorite anime and games, listen in on panels, increase your knowledge in workshops and dress your best in the cosplay costume contest.

After 9 years, Cincinnati Comic Expo Director and owner, Andrew Satterfield decided that it was “time to take on another adventure outside of the comic expo. We want to give people of Cincy a high-quality, engaging event for anime fans in this region’s market. Younger fans want a show that brings in voice, cosplay and a fun community.”

“We know how to run an event,” and Andrew has the experience to prove it after making the Cincinnati Comic Expo the largest comic and pop culture conventions in the midwest. “The same heart and care are going into this event.” With over 50 vendor booths, it’s very likely that you will not go empty-handed.

There will be two established voice actors, Melissa Fahn and Beau Billingslea who will be doing a panel together as well as three local and extremely talented cosplayers. Everyone has the opportunity to get up to two free autographs on your own items, collectibles, posters etc. and additional autographs for items can be purchased as well.

The goal is for the Ohio Anime Expo to be an annual event, possibly adding an additional day and even an after party. “We want to produce a show that our fans want and are looking for feedback on how to make it better for next year,” Andrew encourages.
