Stampaway 2018 Rubber Stamping Convention

It was another successful year with the biggest crowd ever at the Stampaway 2018 Convention! Rubber stamping and crafting enthusiast from all around including New Hampshire, California, Texas, Florida and even Canada gathered to learn and create some spectacular art pieces. A group of close-knit friends from California make a special girls trip from California every year just to attend Stampaway.

Stampaway is a four-day learning event with an all-day event on Saturday with aisles of shopping, demos from well-known crafters and hands-on classes. Some of the classes included vinyl heat transfer on tote bags, alcohol ink cards, watercolor paintings with rubber stamps and decorating a fairy garden house. Every year new vendors are sought out to keep the event fresh. Many repeat vendors came, even some that haven’t come in a few years!

Poodle skirts and polka dots invaded the Convention Center for the Friday night Preview Party themed “The Fabulous 50’s”. Even Elvis showed up! The preview party lets attendees get a headstart on shopping and first dibs on specialty items. Giveaway bags and stamp sets were handed out to everyone at the preview party. Only a set amount of tickets are available for it which helps stay exclusive and relaxed.

“Thank you for coming and making this a great show this year! We just love our vendors and attendees. The Sharonville Convention Center and their staff are so easy to work with and incredibly accommodating. I enjoy working with them very much!” Suzanne Dowst, Convention Coordinator at Stampaway USA.

Mark your calendars for the 2019 Stampaway classes and convention on August 7-10, 2019. We’ve heard rumors that the preview party might have something to do with superheroes!
